Week 5
This week, I learned about how a computer’s motherboard could support a very high number of drives, like USB drives, even though the computers manufacturer doesn’t actually make that number of ports available. My initial thought was, “Well, that’s dumb.” I then read on and found out that it’s because the more and more things that you plug into the usb ports, the more and more power and speed that is consumed. Which is basically bogging things down and making them less effective and less efficient. So, once I read that and started to think about it, I realized it really wasn’t that dumb after all.
